VPSPS has made significant contributions to the sporting arena of the nation. "The battle of Waterloo was won on the playgrounds of Eton" emphasizes the importance of strong training in sports.
As one of the privileged schools in the country, VPSPS has been adopted as the regional center by the Sports Authority of India (SAI). Under the supervision of the Principal, the center offers specialized training in Badminton, Gymnastics, Athletics, Kho-Kho, and Basketball. Selected trainees under the National Sports Talent Contest (NSTC) scheme receive coaching from five SAI-appointed professional trainers.
